Roy is an energetic, driven sales and technology leader with over 20 years of experience building successful revenue producing teams in the sports and technology space.
Since 2018, Roy has worked in startup technology, leading and growing sales teams as the VP for Business Development at Crave Tech, a hyper-growth start-up powering the hospitality industry, and as the VP for Advancement at Snap! Raise, a digital fundraising software solution, delivering record breaking funding to colleges and high school programs across the country.
Prior to his roles in the startup technology sector, Roy served in executive leadership positions for college athletic departments. At the University of Texas Athletics, Roy worked to revamp the Longhorn Foundation, the primary fundraising branch for athletics, building the team and structure for more modern fundraising efforts. Revenue reached record breaking heights during his time at the foundation, achieving over $50M in annual revenues.
As an executive leader at the University of Washington athletic department Roy helped to grow department revenues to all-time highs. He was responsible for leading strategic projects and teams through major fundraising and revenue campaigns – including being a key player in the historic University of Washington Husky Football stadium project, totaling over $300M in raised funds.
He also served in fundraising roles at Arizona State University, helping to raise funds towards newly developed football and basketball practice facilities, among the best in the country at the time.
During his time in athletics, he worked alongside champions head coaches building upon his strategic leadership knowledge, including coaches: Chris Peterson, Charlie Strong, Shaka Smart, Steve Sarkisian, Lorenzo Romar, Dennis Erickson and Dirk Koetter.
Roy holds a master of sport administration from the University of Northern Colorado and undergraduate degree in recreation studies from Western Washington University where he was a football student athlete, playing tight end and earning all-conference honors.
He is an enrolled member of the Round Valley Indian Tribes in northern California and also spends time mentoring Indigenous youth and graduate students through the American Indian Graduate Center and CrossFit Indigenous.
He lives in Austin, Texas with his three children Averie, Bennett and Jamison.
